These Bible verses for weary moms are a comforting and uplifting way to restore your soul.
The Bible tells us accounts of people who encountered everything from disappointment to sickness and even death. And it can be reassuring to read scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit from those very people who went through much of what we may experience today as well.
This list consists of scriptures from both the Old and New Testaments from the English Standard Version (ESV). You’ll find a wealth of encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting verses to choose from. These verses truly capture the reality of God’s goodness and the peace He can bring in difficult times.

How to get the most out of these verses:
I encourage you to not only read but also meditate on these Bible verses for weary moms. The word “meditate” used in the Bible has an interesting root. It’s based on the imagery of a cow chewing cud. We’re invited to not just read but to chew on these verses. You can do this by repeating it to yourself again and again and focusing on what you’re saying.
You’ll also find it helpful to make these verses personal. It could be argued that we should read in context. I would argue though that if a scripture reveals God to be a Helper, a Healer, and a Source of Comfort to you, then it’s fair to insert your name into the text.
For example, for the verse: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) you could pray and meditate on it as, “For I know the plans that I have for (insert your name), declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give (insert your name) a future and a hope.”
You see, God never changes. If he answered Hannah’s prayer for a child, delivered David from the giant, and gave a Promised Land to Israel, He’ll do similarly with me and you!
Take time to read each of these verses, meditate upon them, and make them a regular part of your prayer time each day. If you ever feel “stuck” not knowing what to pray, you can check out this 100 things to pray for resource to inspire your prayer time.
